No Napping With This Dish

Want a really quick meal to make?

Should it have some protein, vegetables and most importantly cheese?

How about one that was named for the French restaurant that made it famous?

Chicken Divan to the rescue. One of the most classic casseroles was made famous at the Divan Parisien Restaurant in New York City in the early part of the 20th century. Originally made with a Mornay sauce, it is often now made more easily with the use of soup. And you know what? It tastes pretty good.

I would have thought it was the name of the furniture you had to take a nap on (divan…couch) after eating a heaping dish of it!

Look at all the time savers in that picture. Bread crumbs (vs bread that I had to crumb), cut up pre-cooked chicken cubes, shredded cheese and already cut broccoli. There really was little to putting this together.

Doesn’t that look great? The breadcrumbs clumped a little more than I would like.

A good and satisfying dish!
