Product Review: Magic Chef Magic Steam Microwave Cookware

The Ranting Reviewer does not get paid or receive any revenue from manufacturers or retailers of products reviewed. I occasionally receive products that I am asked to use and see what I think. I take a look, try them out and tell you all about them.

In early March, I attended the International Home and Housewares show and was able to meet with Magic Chef.

While there, they provided me with the latest product they will be introducing, the Magic Steam Microwave Cookware Soup Mug.

Complete with a silicone lid, this 24oz mug is perfect for reheating your lunch in the microwave.

The silicone lid is comprised of two parts. The combination has both a vent to allow steam to escape as well as a lock, so you don’t have to worry about anything spilling in your lunch bag.

Let’s test it out. Heating in the microwave.

While a little condensation appears on the clear part of the lid, a simple tap reveals the contents inside.

The sturdy glass mug comes with a handle that makes moving this bowl from the microwave to the table a breeze.

The lid will be available in red/grey combination (pictured above) when it is released in June.

My Take: This new line of microwave cookware from Magic Chef is high quality and makes your microwave cooking and reheating a breeze. The first of the line will be available in mid-May including a 6 Cup Rectangle, 11 Cup Rectangle and 4 ¾ Cup Square dish. The soup mug should be available in June. You will be able to purchase the whole line at online retailers like Amazon.com and Walmart.com. Make your lunch better and try it out!
