Product Review: Anolon Advanced 6-Quart Covered Stockpot with Locking Straining Lid

The Ranting Chef does not get paid or receive any revenue from manufacturers or retailers of products reviewed. I occasionally receive products that I am asked to use and see what I think. I take a look, try them out and tell you all about them.

I love it when a box arrives.

This one was from Anolon. I love this brand as they always have great products.

They sent the Anolon Advanced 6 – Quart Covered Stockpot with Locking Straining Lid.

This large stockpot is constructed of even-heating, heavy-duty hard anodized aluminum. Covered with a non-stick surface, this pot can be used for all sorts of purposes.

The lid technology is one of the things that sets this stockpot apart from most. Here you can see how it locks in place. Why do you need a locking lid? Look below.

This is where the magic happens. These holes, in conjunction with the locking lid, allows you to easily strain liquids from the pot, We’ll make that happen later in the review.

Here with the lid on and locked, you can see through the spout.

The heavy-duty, flat bottom provides a nice, even surface for heating.

Who wants some lo mein?

Lid is on.

With the Sure Grip handles and the locking lid, water easily drains out, leaving the noodles.

No separate strainer needed.

This stockpot can easily fit ears of fresh corn.

Pour shot #2!

My Take: As I mentioned earlier, every Anolon product I have tested has been a great one. This carries on the tradition. The stockpot is a good size, sturdy and the locking straining lid ensures that it has earned its place in my cabinet for regular use. You can find the Anolon Advanced 6 – Quart Covered Stockpot with Locking Straining Lid at many major retailers in-store and online, including here.
