Product Review: Farberware 4 Piece Nesting Set

he Ranting Reviewer does not get paid or receive any revenue from manufacturers or retailers of products reviewed. I occasionally receive products that I am asked to use and see what I think. I take a look, try them out and tell you all about them.

It must be pots and pans season, as I received a box the other day.

Inside was the Farberware Neat Nest Stacking Cookware 4 Piece Set.

I was excited to try this out, as while I have a decent amount of space for pots and pans, my eldest son lives in a small apartment and is always struggling for space.

This is one of several sets of Neat Nest cookware. In addition to this one, there is a set of frying pans and another of larger pots. This 4 piece set includes a 2 quart and 4 quart saucepan as well as a lid for each. Notice how the 2 quart pan fits fully into the 4 quart pan. The lid for the 2 quart pan is also inside, actually sitting under the 2 quart pan.

The largest problem with stacking saucepans are the handles. Farberware accomplishes this by thinning out the handle right as it connects to the pan, which reduces the bulk at that important spot. They also shape the handles so one sits correctly on the other. Note the hooks at the end of the handles, They are meant to lock together, which lifts the smaller pot up so it never actually touches the larger pot. This prevents scratching.

The 4 quart pan also has a secondary handle on it for when it is full of boiling water and you really need that extra stability.

This set of two saucepans will cover a majority of cooking needs for this type of pan.

The bottom provides for even heat distribution.

I’m putting this to the test making caramel. I am thankful for the non-stick coating!

The lid fits snugly on top.

The set is dishwasher safe and oven safe (up to 350 degrees).

My Take: I’ve looked at a lot of pots for this blog and this is the first set that is really designed for space saving. If you are in an apartment, looking for cookware for a trailer or RV, or just want your limited space to be used for other things, take a look a the Farberware Neat Nest line. As an added bonus, I really like how Farberware donates $100,000 annually to the National Park Foundation, so you campers out there that need a new set of pots for the trailer, take an extra look here!
